Travel baseball age determination
Westside Smash adheres to USSSA's age guidelines for division age cutoffs. For the FALL 2024/SPRING 2025 season, the USSSA age determination date is MAY 1, 2025.
To determine your child’s league age, calculate their age as of May 1, 2025. This league age will determine the appropriate age division for them to play in.
Example: If a player is 11 years old on May 1, 2025, they are eligible to register in the 11/12U division.
Playing Up:
Players are allowed to play up one full league year without needing league approval. However, they must be within the league age to be eligible to play one year up.
Players wishing to play up should register for the division they feel most suited to.
Playing Down:
Players are not allowed to play down in a younger division under any circumstances. There are no exceptions to this rule.
